Kheerganga is one of Himachal Pradesh’s best nature treks. It is open seven months a year and has a maximum elevation gain of 9700 feet. The location is well-connected by road until Barshaini, and the trek takes 5 to 7 hours. On foot, the distance travelled is 14 kilometres.

Best time to visit kheerganga trek
Morning at kheerganga
The Parvati valley is calm and pleasant all the time, the best time to visit kheerganga trek is from Oct to June. The kheerganga trek is not recommended in the monsoon because of the rainfall in the region. October is the best time to trek as you can see many other trekkings during October. April and May are also good too. The temperature remains 15 to 25 degrees celsius.
TREKKING ROUTE TO KHEERGANGA
The trek starts from Barshaini, to get to Kasol first you have to cross bhuntar.
Getting to Bhuntar:
The journey to the beginning can be divided into two phases, the first is to reach Bhuntar. Bhuntar has an airport that is easy to reach to the kheerganga trek, but if traveling by car or cab it takes 14hours to reach Bhuntar from Delhi.
Bhuntar to Barshaini:
You can reach Barshaini either by bus or taxi.
On the way to Barshaini, you can stop in Kasol.
Kasol is also the best trek for beginners, which acts as a base camp for a few trekkers.
From Baishaini you have two options to go one from Tosh and Nakthan village or the kalga village route.

Nakthan village
This route is very beautiful and has good sightseeing and is preferred by photography.
This is the best route to the kheerganga trek, along the left side of the Parvati river. The difficulty level is medium and it has few difficulty stretches.

Kalga – Pulga village
The second route to kheerganga is quite easy compared to others. This route is not that popular because it has no proper sightseeing and does not offer a picturesque view. This route is suggested to people with low stamina because it’s 7km to the kheerganga trek.
This route will take you to Kalga Pulga village where you can halt for a while and take pictures.

Kheerganga has a lot of options if we think of staying in an ashram on the top of a hill, and wooden homestays are also available, or according to your wish you can also stay in tents.
The rental tents are available at a reasonable price, one has to choose the staying option according to the taste and preference.
Food options near in kheerganga
In most places in Himachal, kheerganga has a variety of cuisine and cafes. The prices are moderate and have good quality. The cuisine available is Chinese, Israeli, Indian, and local Himachali cuisine.
One has to try hot drinks like coffee, tea.

The best time to visit kheerganga in may, June, September, october.
During these months the climate is calm and pleasant.

Travel: a private cab or taxi from Bhuntar to Barshaini will cost around 1200. Buses from Bhuntar to Barshaini will cost around 150 to 500.
Accommodation: The room fair per night in lodges and cottages rooms is around rs.500
Food: 500 per day.
