How to Draw a Panda Bear – Let’s Get Created!
Step 1
To start this guide on how to draw a panda bear, we will first outline this bear’s head. To do this, we’ll use curved likes for the sides of the bear’s head. The top of the head will also be drawn with some curved lines, but some small, sharp strands of hair will stick out. To finish the outline, we will draw the ears.
These will be round and drawn with a jagged outline to make them look nice and furry. Finally, for this step, draw some small, flat shapes for this panda bear’s eyebrows. Once you’ve drawn all these elements, you can move on to the second part of the guide!
Step 2
Regarding their diet, panda bears don’t like to try new things. They will eat bamboo almost exclusively, and we will draw a tasty bamboo stick for your panda drawing in this step. First, use some curved outlines for the bear’s arm, and then draw smaller rounded lines inside the arm outline for the bear’s hand. This hand will then hold the bamboo stick. This will be drawn as a long thin stick, and several leaves will be sticking out of it. These leaves will be long, thin, pointed, and grow in small clumps.
Step 3
This third step of our guide on how to draw a panda bear will allow you to finish some facial details for the bear and add another arm. First, draw a flat, rounded shape for the panda bear’s nose, then extend a smiling mouth below it. Next, draw two eyes using some circles, and then you can add some big, rounded shapes around them for the facial markings. Add a few more small line details to the face, and then you can extend the panda’s arm down from the shoulder before continuing.
Step 4
Before we add the final details to this panda drawing, we’ll start with the bear’s body and add the first paw. The panda bear will be sitting while enjoying his food, so you can draw the body using some rounded lines. Finally, add the first leg tucked under the arm, and then we can move on to those final details!
step 5
Now you are ready to finish the final details we have prepared in this guide on drawing a panda bear! First, draw a small round shape on the panda bear’s nose to make it look shiny. Then you can finish drawing the foot on the left. Due to the angle, we will see the sole.
The bottom part will have some round shapes drawn as filler, and some sharp claws will stick out of the end. Once you’ve finished these final details, you could add even more! Maybe you could draw a great background to show what kind of environment this panda bear is in.
What kind of background can you think of for this adorable bear?
Step 6
If you’ve ever seen a panda bear, you’ll know that they’re not the most colorful creatures on the planet. They are well known for their striking black and white color scheme. We used this color scheme in our reference image but found a few ways to add color variety to the image! You can create a more dynamic image by working in a few lighter shades of gray. For some pops of color,
we also used some bright greens for the bamboo she’s eating and then used some shades of pink for the bottom of her foot. You could take a similar approach for your panda bear, but you could also create a more stylistic approach using your favorite bright colors!
