How can I get Netflix Party to work?
Setting up Netflix is simple and easy. To begin it should be noted that it is now only available for use on a PC with Google Chrome, rather than a smart TV, PlayStation, or Xbox. Go to the Netflix website and click the Install Netflix Party button in the top right corner of the page once you’ve signed into a computer and have Chrome installed.
When the Chrome Web Store window opens, click the correct Add to Chrome button; a pop-up window will appear asking if you want to add Netflix. At this time, you’ll need to click Add Extension. After that, in the upper right corner of your browser, you should notice a small grey NP icon — this is the installed extension, and once you see it, you’re ready to start streaming.
How to Host a Netflix Watch Party
You should be ready to host your first Netflix Party Extension after successfully installing the addon. Open a Netflix window and sign in to your account to host a watching. Then choose your chosen film or TV show and press play; the NP icon in the corner of your screen should change from grey to red, indicating that it is ready to use.
When you click the blue Start the Party button, you’ll give a URL to share with anyone you’d like to invite. Send this link to friends and relatives, then wait for them to arrive; in the meantime, the Chatroom should have opened, allowing you to send an introductory message to start the chat.
What to Bring to a Netflix Party
It’s even easier to attend a Netflix Watch hosted by a friend than it is to host one. Once you have the URL, click it to take it to your Netflix page then click the red NP icon in the corner of the page to add to the party, where you may watch the movie in sync with your friend while chatting at the same time.
