The second-generation Alsvin face was uncovered in Pakistan on 11 January 2021. This was the first passenger vehicle that was launched by the company in Pakistan. Variants

The local partner of Changan, Master Motors Limited, offers Alsvin in three variants. All these variants are efficient enough to compete with other available sedans and hatchbacks. The three variants include

• 1.5L Lumiere

Exterior

The Alsvin has a very charming exterior that helps it to stand out from its competitors. The front of the vehicle is equipped with a butterfly-shaped grille. The enlarged grille helps in more air intake per second and increased heat transfer. The vehicle comes with a flowing dual waist design for an aerodynamic streamline motion. This feature also helps reduce fuel consumption. 

The exterior is embellished with dual-beam halogen projection lamps. The lamps are electrically adjustable. The vehicle also has configurable LED curve daytime running lamps (DRL’s). The tail lamps are a combination of two lamps including reverse lamps and fog lights.

A black shark fin antenna is present in the vehicle for better reception. The 1.5L Lumiere variant is equipped with an electric sunroof to allow bright sunlight in the vehicle during the daytime.

Interior

Most people, when looking to buy a car in Pakistan, prioritize the comfort they’ll get from the vehicle. Alsvin has a cozy and luxurious interior. The vehicle can accommodate four adults easily.  The seats are ivory beige covered with faux leather. The most eye-capturing thing about Alsvin is its cockpit. The cockpit gives a sporty and graceful look that makes the vehicle more modern. The steering wheel is D-shaped for allowing increased legroom for the driver. The power steering wheel contains audio controls in all variants. However, the cruise control button is available only in the Lumiere variant. 

Advanced safety features include

• Anti-lock braking system

The Lumiere variant has an additional safety feature that heats the side mirrors to prevent fogginess so the driver can have increased visibility. It also has a tire pressure monitoring system that helps monitor the tire pressure at all times. If the tire pressure is low or high, the driver is informed. 

An interesting feature in all three variants is the 7-inch floating display with Human Machine Interface (HMI). This system gives access to customizing the DRL’s, turn lamps, auto-door locks, AC ventilation, AC self-drying, etc. It also gives a variety of entertainment options for the riders with four speakers installed on the doors. 12 V USB port is also present. 

The Alsvin is equipped with keyless entry and start/stop technology. The trunk is very spacious that can be opened manually as well as automatically. 

Engine

The 1.37L Alsvin Comfort is equippes with a 1370cc engine with 99 horsepower and 135Nm torque. The 1.5L Alsvin Comfort and 1.5L Lumiere are equippes with a 1480cc engine with a power of 105 and 145Nm torque. All the variants are equippes with an inline 4-cylinder MPFI DOHC technology. 

The 1.37L Alsvin Comfort has a 5-speed manual transmission with an intelligent shift reminder while the other two variants have a 5-speed dual-clutch transmission. The vehicle has a fuel tank capacity of 40 liters. 

Mileage

Another important thing that buyers never ignore while buying a vehicle is the fuel average. Changan Alsvin gives an impressive fuel average of 12 to 15 kilometers per liter. It gives an average fuel mileage of 12 kilometers per liter in the city and 15-16 kilometers per liter on the highways.

Handling and Maintenance

As we studied earlier that the vehicle is equippe. with an ABS braking system and cruise control, the rides are very smooth and comfortable. The vehicle gives a ground clearance of 151mm and a wheelbase of 2535mm which helps increase the stability. However, its maintainance is not easy because of the unavailability of spare parts in Pakistan.

Price 

The price of Changan Alsvin ranges from PKR 2,424,000 to PKR 2,864,000 depending upon the variant.

Changan Alsvin is a pretty good vehicle overall. The vehicle comes with a modern design and an appealing price. But at the same time, the unavailability of spare parts and average build quality can affect the selling rate. But still, Changan Alsvin has strong competition with Yaris, Honda City, and Kia Picanto in the market.
